March Bucket List
February has been such a short month, and I feel like I have spent a lot of it being unwell – with 2 colds and stomach bug or food poisoning. Apart from that it’s also been a great month for the following reasons:
- We started weaning.
- We celebrated my Dad’s 60th birthday.
- Little one has learnt how to clap and started to roll.
- We have had some big improvements on sleep.
I had three things on my bucket list for February:
Kickstart my running -I’m pleased to say that I have done one run this month by completing the local Parkrun. Having not run for 16 months, I managed to run 5km involving hills, mud and grass without stopping, and got a time of 31 minutes 53 seconds. I’m pretty pleased with that.
Improve my Blog – This one is hard to measure as the range of improvements can vary hugely, so I’m going to have this on my bucket list for future months to keep me determined to improve my blog month after month. I have made some small tweaks to my blog and joined the Parent Blogger board – currently in 503 place. I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Hannah at Diary of an Ordinary Mum, I am hugely proud of this and my Liebster Award blog post has been my most successful blog post so far in terms of traffic and number of comments. I’ve also increased my Twitter following by 579 followers, to a total of 925 (looking forward to reaching 1000!)
Bake at least one Cake – I have failed on this one, what with sickness and constantly making food for the little one this task has taken a back seat. On a positive note I have definitely eaten less cake out and about.
So here’s my bucket list for March:
Bake a least one Cake – As I failed on this for February I really need to make one in March. This month is longer and has more weekends, so I’m sure it’s achievable.
Improve my blog – This month I would like to register for Tots 100, improve my Klout score currently it’s at 47, set up a blogging schedule so that my blog posts are more consistent, add some plugins (Yoast, and a better commenting platform), and improve my side bar. I’m also tempted to completely overhaul the layout and theme, to make it a little more exciting.
Clean the oven -This is on my to-do list every week and never gets done. Oven cleaner is arriving in our food shop today!
Be happy with how weaning is going – We are currently offering our little one purees, with very little baby-led weaning. At the moment I’m not 100% happy with how it is progressing, so this month I need to batch cook and put a real focus on introducing a range of foods (including meat and fish) to our little one’s diet.
Sort out little one’s admin – We have so many documents for our little one all over the place, this month I need to get one folder together where everything can be stored together.
That’s it, see how I get on at the end of the month.

It sounds like you had a tough February with not feeling the best, hopefully March will be better health wise. Being a mummy and being ill do not mix well! That is an amazing start back into running, I have just signed up for the Moonwalk so I need to get back into walking and fast! You have persuaded me to buck up and clean my oven, it is seriously overdue! I am looking forward to finding out what cake you decide to make. Great post #bigpinklink

Sounds like a really good bucket list for the month ahead, especially cake! Cake is always good 🙂 What a brilliant achievement with your Twitter followers!! I should really start to set some goals for myself! I need to clean my oven too, I even have some ‘oven pride’ sat in the cupboard waiting to be used :/ #bigpinklink x

Wow, your run time is fantastic! I’d be proud of that and I’m 3 years post last baby! I can completely understand why you didn’t get round to the cake, being poorly and trying to bake is just a recipe for disaster, (see what I did there?!) 😉 Don’t put too much pressure on yourself re weaning, when you have never tasted anything but milk, I think even one new flavour is a taste bud party for them. I hope March is that a much better month for you illness wise and I really look forward to hearing how you get on with your list, Many thanks for linking up with us! #bigpinklink

It sounds like you had a great and busy month despite not feeling great in February. Totally impressed that you managed to do a 5K run after not having run for a while, super impressive so well done you. Total pat on the back. March looks like an equally busy month so good luck with it! Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Emily

Wow doing a 5k is amazing! I’ve been using the couch to 5k app and managed 25 minutes last week which was amazing!
Klout is so confusing – just link all your social medias up to it is my only advice and chat!
Hope the weaning goes well. I loved it with the girls as we did BLW so it was so much fun seeing what they would and wouldn’t eat!
Thanks so much for linking up xxxx
The Pramshed
Thanks I’ll let you know how I get on at the end of the month. A 25 minute run is amazing, well done you. BLW isn’t going too well at the minute, she won’t eat anything unless we feed her. Claire x
