30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 6
Something your proud of in the past few days?
We have been in teething hell over the weekend, starting Thursday night and subsiding on Sunday. Our little one has already had a couple of teeth poke through, with 2 more appearing this week – one of the top teeth and another bottom tooth.
The days have been a difficult with a screaming baby refusing to eat anything apart from yoghurt. To relieve the pain for her we have mainly been using distraction tactics, Nurofen, Calpol, Dentinox, and Ashtons and Parsons. I know when my little one is teething if she wakes up in the morning crying, usually she will wake up and be happy to play in her cot for a while.
I was a little worried about the weekend as we had lots of plans with friends and family. Our little one was a bit off on Saturday but not unbearable, she wasn’t her usual self at all, very quiet and not very chatty, but was happy enough to sit in her buggy whilst we were at the zoo. On Sunday it seemed that the teething pain had passed, she was happy and babbling, and more than happy to be passed around, and ate a full meal other than yoghurt.
I’m proud of her for getting through this, and also I’m proud of us (my husband and I) for getting through a tough couple of days with a grumpy little one.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, teething is tough, we’ve been going through it on and off since November. Be patient, and dose up with Calpol and yoghurt.

I hear ya – teething is tough! It starts around a few months old & carries on for a long time! At least when they are over 2 they can deal with it a little better. Good luck! x

Argh that’s over a year away! Hopefully it won’t be bothering her much longer. Wine in the evening helps, for me, not the baby 🙂 Claire x

Oh I feel all of your pain. It is so awful to see them in such pain and not be able to help them. Lots of hugs all round. Glad to read that she seems to be over the worst of it now. Well done all for getting through it #marvmondays

Teething is hell! Luckily it only lasts a few days and then she’s back to normal again – phew! You will be fine for baby number two, you can use all the tricks you learnt from the first. My advice is loads of yoghurt! Thanks for commenting and reading. Claire x
