5 easy ways to find freebies as a parent

As a parent I am always on the look out for a good freebie, and there are many to be found. Some are easier to find than others, with some being given to you on a daily basis, and others involving more research. The online space is a fantastic resource for you to find freebies, and there is virtually a freebie, offer or discount that can be applied to anything that you want to purchase. So here are 5 easy ways to find freebies as a parent.

Voucher Codes

These are everywhere. There are voucher codes for online shopping, voucher codes for restaurants, voucher codes for days out. If you are ever looking to go for lunch or dinner at Pizza Express, or another well known restaurant chain, see if you can find a voucher code for 2 meals for £10 (or similar), there are usually a couple of these online and it means you will be getting additional free food for just the price of a pizza.

Online Food Delivery

Every online food delivery always has a delivery charge attached to it. This can range from £1 to £6, and £6 is a really high price to pay for your weekly food shop. You can save money on this by taking a yearly food delivery pass, or signing up to a supermarket when they have an incentive to offer you free delivery for an entire year, I recently did this with Ocado. This means that you then have more money to put back into your weekly food shop, or to buy a bottle of wine.

Online Sites

Now I am not someone who has used online gaming or online bingo, however the rewards can be huge, and it could offer you winning cash or free promotions. Which could be used towards anything you fancy including holidays, clothes, the weekly food shop, or something to treat you.

Collecting vouchers

If you’re looking for a day out for the whole family, then why not see if any newspaper or food brands are running a promotion where you collect the vouchers, which then qualify for a family pass to a certain attraction. These are often applicable for theme parks and London Attractions such as Madame Tussauds. This could save you a fortune, as I know it could cost over £100 for 2 adults and 2 children to visit one of the big theme parks in the UK.

Free samples

Brands are always willing to give out free samples, and there are so many websites that you can sign up for to receive freebies. Parents can receive free samples for pregnancy and baby, which gives you the chance to sample the product before you actual buy it. This could help you to save money as you’re not wasting money on something you might not necessarily like or need.

So those are my top 5 ways to find freebies as a parent. Do you have any useful tips you could add to this list? I would love to hear from you.
